solid boot

I was skeptical of the "size down" recommendation on these boots (I'm a size 8 with a somewhat wide foot) but the 7.5 is perfect for me. I thought they weren't going to fit the first time I tried pulling them on, but the leather breaks in quickly and the on/off process gets easier over time. The shoe is very comfortable for walking and dancing.

I’m normally a size 9 so ordered an 8 1/2 based on reviews. Fit to me is a bit tight so I’m wearing a very thin sock but wished I ordered the 9. The biggest issue is getting them on/ off! Extremely difficult and I have to really point my toes to get my foot past the part that lays across the top of the foot that straddles the ankle bones (a zipper would’ve definitely helped). My thin socks have a lot of nylon to them so they are “slippery” so I’m able to get them on but it’s a struggle. I’m working with the boots to loosen that area up cause I really love them and hoping to get past this issue with just getting them on/ off. I would’ve exchanged but got on clearance plus I don’t know if a bigger size would’ve helped with whe on/ off issue? .
